Accidental Bonus Page!

I write my daughter's notes ahead of time, so I'm not crunched for a deadline every night. One evening, however, I realized that I had forgotten to bring any pages home with me. But – and this was the amazingly lucky part – it happened to be at possibly the only spot where I could add a page in between without messing up the story. So she got her note the next morning, and I ended up with an extra page to post.

The Work Note Project is back! Although my daughter is still working on her leprechaun story, she still managed to make more lunch notes for me (to see her story from the beginning, go here).

I based Jason's crew on my own kids, but in this drawing Anna is my youngest daughter. One day we had a bird in our basement, which I eventually chased out the bulkhead door. But my daughter's first reaction was to grab a foam rubber sword, run downstairs, and offer to take care of it for me. And she's three years old. That's my hero!

I especially like the "Charge!!!" wedged in between the two.

Not that it wasn't obvious by this time, but I promised I'd get to "them" around page 47.

And now, the Special Bonus Section:

The Work Note Project

Wanting to return the favor, my daughter decided that she would write me a lunch story (it's times like this that makes me feel like we might be doing something right with this parenting thing. Or something write, at the least). Every time she writes for me, I'll post hers as well. Here's page 1:
